The Multimedia Systems & Applications
Technical Committee (MSATC) is a Technical Committee of the Circuits and Systems
(IEEE-CAS) Society. The MSATC is a subsidiary organization of the IEEE-CAS
Society and it is governed by the rules and regulations of the IEEE and by
the constitution and bylaws of IEEE-CAS, which take precedence over these
bylaws in case of conflict.
Purpose
The Multimedia Systems and
Applications Technical Committee (MSATC) plays three important roles within
the IEEE Circuits and Systems Society: (1) Champion those research areas
which enable multimedia technologies (2) Champion those research areas
which bring multimedia technologies into systems and applications (3)
Introduce multimedia concepts, methods, and product into CAS operations.

HOW
TO BECOME A MEMBER OF THE MSA TC:
- You want to be actively
involved in the TC activities, including attending TC meetings,
helping to review ISCAS and ICME papers, perhaps proposing special
sessions in ISCAS and ICME, and other activities to promote the
interest of the MSA TC.
- You are an IEEE CASS
member.
- You shall be nominated
by a MSA TC member. Send your member application (your contact
information, brief biography, position statement, and your nominator's
name and contact information) to the Chair and Chair-elect.
- You need to attend the
MSA TC meeting and get positive votes from more than half of members
who attending the meeting.
(Note:
The TC Chair may conduct an e-vote for applicants if necessary.)
